Information we collect
Details you provide through our enquiry, quote, contact and newsletter forms: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, delivery location and the requirements you describe.
Order information: the species and quantities you request, delivery addresses, GST details where supplied, and correspondence about your order.
Only if you accept analytics cookies: usage information such as the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser type and your approximate location, collected through Google Analytics.
Anonymous page-view statistics (the page, the referring site, approximate location, and device and browser type), collected without cookies by our hosting provider's analytics.
How we use your information
To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, process and deliver orders, and provide after-sales support.
To issue invoices and maintain the accounting and tax records we are required by law to keep.
To send you updates about seed availability only where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe from any such message.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to operate — website hosting, email delivery, payment processing, website analytics (Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies) and the couriers or transport operators who deliver your consignment — and only to the extent they need it.
We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.
Storage, security and retention
Data is held on managed infrastructure with access restricted to authorised staff and protected by database-level access controls.
We keep enquiry and order records for as long as needed to service the relationship and to meet statutory accounting and tax retention requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it, or withdraw consent for marketing. Write to info@devnagriseeds.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies keep the site working: one remembers your language preference, another remembers your cookie choice for six months so we don't ask on every visit. They are not used to track you.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. It loads only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Until then, and if you decline or ignore the banner, Google Analytics does not run and no analytics cookies are set. Declining does not affect your ability to browse or order.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies whose names begin with _ga, which last up to two years. We use this information only to measure and improve the site, not for advertising.
You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops and we delete the _ga cookies from your browser.
Separately, our hosting provider's Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It recognises repeat visits within a day through an anonymous identifier that is discarded after 24 hours, and it cannot identify you or follow you across other sites.
